USH2020 | Austin, Texas | July 10-11, 2020

12th Annual USH Connections Conference: USH2020

Presented by the Usher Syndrome Coalition
July 10-11, 2020
Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark, Austin, Texas

COVID-19 UPDATE

The Coalition is closely monitoring ongoing developments in the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.

The Usher Syndrome Coalition’s Board of Directors is evaluating the status of this event, with the guidance of up-to-date information released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other advisories within the United States and worldwide. Decisions will be communicated to all of our contacts immediately.

Attendees describe this conference as "life-changing," an event with a positive atmosphere and a genuine sense of community. At the USH Connections Conference, you will connect face-to-face with hundreds of people who "get it," meet and network with others facing the same challenges, and learn the latest on developing treatments from leading USH researchers.

NEW FOR USH2020:

It's a family affair! Program designed specifically for USHkids at the USH2020 Conference
USHangouts is presented by Ava’s Voice, an official USH Partner of the Usher Syndrome Coalition. This is an opportunity for youth with Usher syndrome and their siblings (birth-17 years) to make face-to-face connections with their peers at the annual USH Connections Conference. There are programs designed specifically for three age groups (Birth-4: USHbabies; Ages 5-10: USHkids; Ages 11-17: USHteens), and counselor opportunities are available for adults with Usher syndrome (ages 18-21: USHleaders). Limited space is available.

Breakout Sessions on Friday, July 10th
This year, we are pleased to announce that we are adding an afternoon of breakout sessions on Friday, July 10th. These sessions are in direct response to requests from the community for opportunities to connect and converse in small settings. Session topics will include Parents of Children with Usher Syndrome, Young Adults Living with Usher Syndrome (18 and older), and Quality of Life: Living and Thriving with Usher Syndrome.
