Usher Researchers Win Prize

Researchers Christine Petit and Karen Steel won the Brain Prize of 1 million euros in part for their work on Usher syndrome, and "for their unique, world-leading contributions to our understanding of the genetic regulation of the development and functioning of the ear, and for elucidating the causes of many of the hundreds of inherited forms of deafness". One of the presenters, Lisbeth Tranebjaerg, is also an Usher researcher.
